Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received a letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (4310630) dated (15/2/1443), a reference to the union’s receipt of the letter of the Food and Drug General Authority No. (3940/p) and dated (9/2/1443), Which includes the fact that an eye care product bearing the name “Al-Watani Kohl Al-Haramain Al-Athmid Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Black” contains a high percentage of lead that exceeded the permissible limit as an impurity in the Regulation of Safety Requirements in Cosmetics and Personal Care No. (SFDA.CO/GSO1943:2016), Since exposure to high levels of lead may cause health risks to the consumer, and the importance of emphasizing on all establishments that trade in cosmetic products to prevent the sale of the product whose data is shown in the annex and return it to its suppliers, as well as the importers and distributors of the product to withdraw it from sales outlets and warehouses and coordinate with the authority - Operations sector - to destroy it to avoid being penalized.
